General information:
Bueng Chawak: Is a big natural lake in Thailand ,The area is about 2700 rai and about 64 kilometers from down town Suphanburi. Bueng Chawak is connected with Hunka district,Duem Bang nang Buad. Bueng Chawak was announced for animal preservative park in 2556 and in 2541 became the area of wet area international by the Ramsar treaty ,so Bueng Chawak is a fresh water lake when the water get down the water not deep than 6 meters .Bueng Chawak is approx. 1-3 meters deep and under the command and control of thai government by the ministry of agriculture ,forest department
Bueng Chawak is now become the most important tourist of Suphanburi province ,there are many interesting sites to see and visit such as the museum of Thai local vegetable,the showroom exhibition plants,plants nursery,the exhibition of animal raising ,moreover around the area there are some interesting rare animal such as tiger,birds, and fish

How To Get There

Car
There are many routes for travelling from Bangkok to Suphan Buri:
Bangkok-Bang Bua Thong-Suphan Buri, a distance of 107 kilometres.
Bangkok-Pathum Thani-Lat Lum Kaeo-Suphan Buri, a distances of 115 kilometres
Bangkok-Ayutthaya-Suphan Buri, a distance of 132 kilometres
Bangkok-Nakhon Pathom-Kamphaeng Saen-Suphan Buri, a distance of 164 kilometres

Bus
Both air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses departs from Bangkok's Southern Bus Terminal (Tel: 0 2435 1199-200) and Mochit 2 Bus Terminal (Tel: 0 2936 2852-66) to Suphan Buri many times daily.

Train
