when mention about this city is famous for its festival PEE TA KHON or Ghost festival during ่ีJuly of the year. In fact this small province is well know for the scenic beautiful nature on the high mountain geography about 2700 feet above sea level in Pu Kra Ding Hill.
Best season to visit Loei is in the winter due to its nice and cool weather similar to Switzerland (although I never been to...,but hope to) I just heard form the news and over TV and information from internet.
