Another problem for any visitors or tourist in Thailand is how to find a toilet for your personal tasks.Because of not every places provide with the public toilet.Basically, there will be 2 types of the toilet in Thailand the 1st one is the public toilet with is free service for everyone at the airport ,bus station ,train station,the mall and etc..The 2nd one is not a public there will have a payment before going inside the toilet for 2-5 baht in Thai currency.And the last one is not recommend ,but you have to in the difficult time ,place where no toilet available is along the road or under the tree 555 ,so may be in this time you can ask for help from the pass by people "Where is the toilet?" ,but unlucky that not everyone in Thailand understand English ,If in that case speak Thai in a short word could be help.
To ask for the toilet in Thai you can say "Hong-Num" ห้องน้ำ
or with a bit longer "Mee Hong-Num Mai?" มีห้องน้ำไหมครับ/ค่ะ
Let's me clarify more for Thai words "Hong-Num" is a Toilet in English.
"Mee Hong-Num Mai?" is a question for "Where is the toilet" or Is there any toilets available around here?
Tips :Places where you can find a public toilet in Thailand
- Airport
- Bus station
- Train station
- Supermarket
- Police station
- Hospital
and in Thailand in every normal gas station there will be a convenient store as well as a public toilet available.
