How to buy mobile phone SIM in Thailand

Overview of Mobile phone service and cost in Thailand.

First you should know first how many company give a service in Thailand? There are 4 big companies who operate the mobile phone business in Thailand name are as follow.
AIS the most coverage area but the the cheapest.
DTAC
TRUE coming boom recently in Thailand with 4G network across the country ,but still not every point in Thailand yet.
CAT is a state enterprise so have a stable and reasonable price as well as the cheapest one ,but not the fastest.
Where to buy ?
Shop Distributor and dealer of them across the country ,in the mall ,airport ,and IT supermarket ,Power buy,Big C,Testco Lotus ,and etc.
What option ?
2 SIM to choose
between prepaid and postpaid SIM.
The customer have to provide ID card,or a copy of passport to the clerk at the shop before buying a new SIM in Thailand due to the Thai security law mention.
How much for new SIM. The price is vary it depend on the plan and package as well ,but to say around 2 USD is around this with some of credit to start the phone call or send the text message.



Internet package is another thing to consider and make a comparative options to choose.
Any way basically ,no big different in the price and data package only a bit differ to choose and I can say personal prefer.
At the shop feel free to ask for information from the shop seller or clerk who sell the SIM including price per  month or per refill the credit.
