How to meet the doctor in Thailand

During your stay or visiting or travelling in Thailand and if you have a health problem such as a fever or other illness.
For the common of cold usually appear about one to three days after exposure to a cold-causing virus. Signs and symptoms of a common cold may include:
Runny or stuffy nose
Itchy or sore throat
Cough
Congestion
Slight body aches or a mild headache
Sneezing
Watery eyes
Low-grade fever
Mild fatigue

In this case you have some option to cure yourself by going to buy some drug from the pharmacist store or even from the convenient store also some of common drug were allowed to sell in the convenient store like pain killer ,cold prevention and release for instance.

However, I would recommend you to buy the drug from the pharmacist store so that you can sure that they give you exactly as you symptom.

In another case if you can not recover by taking some pills of medicine from the pharmacist store ,then going to see the doctor in the hospital is you must have.
Normally there are some private clinic that open and run by some doctors for making a business by some doctors who can manage to run their own clinic. In this place is open for normal and common symptom and fever as well as some general health problem.
The good thing of this clinic is that fast and convenient for you to see the nurse and the doctor who will check and give medicine order for you to cure the health problem.

But if the clinic is not you place, then going to the hospital is also available.
There are two kinds of the hospital in Thailand one is a public or Government hospital in every province and district of Thailand the Name Normally will name upon the local place name such as in Lopburi province the provincial hospital is Lopburi Hospital for in stances.

The second type is a private hospital ,normally available in every province of Thailand and some are very big and well known as a network hospital in Bangkok and nearby.

The service cost ,of course the public hospital is cheaper than the private hospital ,so normally there are a lot of patients come to see the doctor in the public hospital ,so sometimes it take very long time to wait for the doctor and receiving the medicine as well.

if you are a new patient
1 First you need to contact the register counter and fill up some personal information as well as other important information about you and your symptom.
2 Meet the interview nurse who will check your temperature ,pulse rate and ask you about what wrong with you.
3 Wait to see the doctor who will check and diagnose you health problem and give prescription or further treatment if require.

Note: There is no fast track in the public hospital ,but in the private hospital has.
